Wolfforth: More Than Meets the Eye
Founded in 1916, Wolfforth, Texas was named after George Wolffarth, early Lubbock County pioneer. Once a railroad town, Wolfforth is now home to more than 5,000 residents. Wolfforth is served by the Frenship Independent School District, which includes four schools in Wolfforth—Bennett Elementary School, Frenship Middle School, Frenship 9th Grade Center, and Frenship High School. Located less than 20 minutes from Lubbock, residents of Wolfforth enjoy access to an abundance of attractions, including the National Ranching Heritage Center, Science Spectrum Museum, and Joyland Amusement Park.
